Ranchers beat Kabong, 68-65 in IP&E ABL

Team Ranchers showed a solid second half performance as orchestrated a come from behind victory over team Kabong, 68-65 Friday night in the ongoing 2012 season of the IP&E Amateur Basketball League (ABL) at the Palau National gym.

Down 37-35 at the end of the first half, the Ranchers found their shooting range in the third canto as they outscored Kabong with a 15-13 out put to tie the game at 50-all. Then the Ranchers hold on in the fourth as they went all the way for the win.

Ferris Baulechong topscored for the Ranchers with 24 points while Jason Seid and Basil Gibbons paced Kabong with 22 and 21 markers, respectively on the losing side.

In other games, Ikelauans won over the Cardinals, 78-71; Mesang Red Storm beat Ngerkesoaol, 75-69; Stingers down B.O.G., 75-66; and the Nationals whipped Dngeronger Bullets, 94-66.

Games resume tonight with On Fire versus Ranchers at 6 p.m. followed by the Dngeronger Bullets-Ikelauans tussle at 7:30 p.m. while PCC Mesekiu will meet the Breakers at 9 p.m. Tomorrow’s games will have Surangel Kings against Rivals at 6 p.m. as PPR Shark Attack will face Ididers at 7:30 p.m. whileAqua Smooth will be pitted against B.O.G. in the main game at 9 p.m.

Thursday matches will feature Kabong taking On Fire at 6 p.m. as Ikelauans will face PCC Mesekiu at 7:30 p.m. while the Spoilers will test Dngeronger Bullets in the night cap at 9 p.m.

Coaches and team representatives are reminded that there will be meeting today at 11:30 a.m. at the Palau National gym.
