Spoilers, WU face off in FBL Sunday

Defending champions FR Spoilers will get its acid test when they collide with runner up Western Union on Sunday in the resumption of the 2012 season of the Filipino Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

Game time is at 12:30 p.m. Sporting a 3-0 win-loss record, the Spoilers aim to maintain its unblemished record as they will be led by the formidable team of Michael Bombita, Mark Pagayanan, Coco Gonzales, Aries Echanova and George Bernardo.

Western Union, which enjoys a 4-0 tally in the team standings, goes for broke in their match up as they will have Emerson Patenia, Erwin Senadre, Dennis Castro, Bong Alambra, Erwin Igamen and Jun Ponting.

On the other hand, team Choppers (2-1) gun for its third win when they take on a tough Ilocandia Bulls (3-1) in the curtain raiser at 11 a.m. The Choppers will again rely on its line up composed of Bon-Bon Pramo, Erwin Gonzalgo, Eric Dedeles, PJ Esguerra, Rey Potot, John Macatangay, Janine Carandang and Jon Lloyd Corpuz while the Bulls heavily rely on Raul Osias, Joeger Supnet, Jun Villena, Ryan Cacho, Andie Porneso and Jaime Velasco.

In other games, D’Originals will battle 9-Ball Friendsters in the Master’s League at 2 p.m. while the Jaguars will square off against Rams/Guardians in the main game at 3:30 p.m.
