Team Money score 6th win in WNBL

Team Money displayed its defense and offensive prowess as they bested Odesangel Islanders, 72-51 to score their sixth win in the ongoing 2012 IP&E Women’s National Basketball League played at the Palau National gym.

Money meant business as they outpaced the Islanders securing a 35-22 advantage in the first half of action. From there, Money closed down the lights for the Islanders to comeback into the game as they sailed smoothly for the win to sport a 6-1 win-loss record in the team standings.

Colleen Gibbons led the scoring chores for Money with 23 baskets while Isabel Goodall topscored for the Islanders with 18 markers as they remain in the cellar with a 0-6 tally.

In other games, Belias Underdawgs won over Smooth Riders by default.

Games resume on Tuesday with Kryptonite versus Peched Reds at 7:30 p.m. while Smooth Riders will play Money on May 30 at 6 p.m. The tournament supervised and organized by the Palau Basketball Federation (PBF).  By Peter Erick L. Magbanua (Island Times News)
