Team Peched Boys nailed its third victory at the expense of South Coast, 54-41 Wednesday in the ongoing 2012 Koror State Youth basketball tournament at the Palau National gym.

The win gave Peched Boys the lead in the team standings of the 18 years old and under with a 3-0 win-loss card while South Coast suffered their second setback for a 1-2 card.

In other games, Meda Boys beat Ngerchemai, 65-62; Peches down Ididers, 46-27; Peched Boys defeated Peches, 47-31; Ngerchemai drubbed Ididers, 68-29; Meda Boys tame South Coast, 59-40; Ngerchemai pounded Peches, 54-35; and South Coast whip Ididers, 60-34.

In the 15 years old and under, Ngerchemai Jrs kept its composure to beat Meda Jrs, 49-29 to gain solo lead in their division with a 2-0 tally as Meda Jrs absorbed its first lost for a 1-1 record.

In other games, Ngerchemai Jrs won over Peched Jrs, 56-26; and Meda Jrs bested Peched Jrs, 65-62.

In the girls 18 years old and under, Meda Girls takes a 2-0 lead in their best of five finals against Ngerchemai Girls after taking Game Two with a 57-26 tally.

Games will resume today with Meda Kids versus Ngerchemai Kids at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Peched Boys-Ididers tussle at 12:30 p.m.; South Coast takes on Ngerchemai at 1:30 p.m.; Meda Boys will face Peches at 2:30 p.m.; and Meda Jrs will face off against Peched Jrs in the main game at 3:30 p.m.

July 30 games will feature Meda Kids against Ngerchemai Kids at 11:30 a.m. and will be followed by the play offs fore the 18 and under category starting at 12:30 p.m. while Ngerchemai Jrs will face Meda Jrs in the main game at 3:30 p.m.
