FR Spoilers tame East All Stars in Super League

NBL champions FR Spoilers barged into the winning column after beating the East All Stars, 104-82 Wednesday night in the ongoing 2012 IP&E NBL Super League at the Palau National gym.

The Spoilers opened the game with a 25-23 lead at the end of the first quarter and then continued their run in the second to close the half with a 53-47 advantage. From there, the Spoilers rolled away with the win with Michael Bombita leading the way with 23 points while wingman Coco Gonzales added 22 as they sport a 2-2 win-loss record in the team standings.

Armando Canseco paced the East All Stars with 25 markers on the losing end as they absorbed their first lost in the tournament for a 3-1 slate.

In other games, West All Stars downed Nationals 17 and under, 92-49; and West All Stars bested the Spoilers, 68-65.

Games will resume tonight with West All Stars versus East All Stars at 6 p.m. while the Spoilers will face the Nationals 17 and under team at 7 p.m. July 30 matches will feature Spoilers against West All Stars at 6 p.m. while East All Stars will battle the Nationals 17 and under at 7 p.m.
