Two games set to end FBL elimination round
Two games are set this Sunday which will mark the end of the elimination round of the 2012 Filipino Basketball League (FBL) played at the Palau National gym.
In the curtain raiser, taking a 10-5 win-loss record, Surangel and Sons will try to official hold ground at third spot in the team standings as they face a deadly team Choppers (7-8) at 12:30 p.m.
Surangel and Sons will once again rely on the team of Arnold Undecimo, Bong Gayongorza, Gener Aguinaldo, Eric Manio, Norbert Nova, Ador Hilvano and Melvin Parrinas while the Choppers will try to uplift its morale going to the quarterfinals as they will be led by Bon-Bon Pramo, Erwin Gonzalgo, Eric Dedeles, Nelson Dupalco, Jelson Talavera, Julevic Munion, Rey Potot and Janin Carandang.
On the other hand, defending champion FR Spoilers will meet the Jaguars in the main game at 2 p.m.
After the elimination round, the league will relax for a while as they will have the All Star Weekend on September 9 while the quarterfinal round will tip off on September 23 at the same venue. By Peter Erick L. Magbanua (Island Times News)
