FBL Final Four swings into action on Oct. 6

And there are four.
Four teams will fight over for the right to enter the championship round as the 2012 Filipino Basketball League (FBL) enters the Final Four semifinal round, Sunday at the Palau National gym.

Games will open with Western Union taking on MJ Rangers at 1 p.m. Western Union will again rely on their line up composed of Dennis Castro, Bong Alambra, Emerson Patenia, Erwin Senadre, rookies Nino Cajegas and Edward Baysa while the MJ Rangers will have Jay and Joemar Naguit, Rodel Ramos, Cid Aquino and veteran skipper Jimmy Domingo.

In the main game, defending champion FR Spoilers will play against Surangel and Sons at 2:30 p.m.

The Spoilers will have the formidable line up of Michael Bombita, Coco Gonzales, Lester Mendoza, Mark Pagayanan and Aries Echanova while Surangel and Sons will have Arnold Undecimo, Melvin Parrinas, Ador Hilvano, Gener Aguinaldo and playing coach Eric Manio.

The semifinal round will follow a single round robin format with the top two squads moving on to the championship round, which will be a best of three series, while the lower two teams will vie for the consolation game.  By Peter Erick L. Magbanua (Island Times News)
