MOF, PPR Shark Attack enter Rudimch Enterprise GBL Finals

Division leaders Ministry of Finance (MOF) Omsangel and Palau Pacific Resort (PPR) Shark Attack advances to the championship round after beating separate foes in the semifinal round of the 2012 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League played at the Palau National gym.

MOF Omsangel remains on trail in defending their crown in the Government Division after besting MOE Spiders, 82-68. MOF Omsangel pulled a 27-19 rally in the third canto to widen their gap and established their biggest lead at 67-49.

From there, MOF Omsangel never looked back as they went on to win the match and move into the championship round. Tutii paced MOF Omsangel with 26 points while Yutaka Gibbons Jr finished with 36 for MOE Spiders on the losing end.

With the win, MOF Omsangel arranged a meeting with last season’s Division runner up MPIIC, which defeated MOJ Cops, 82-81 in their own semis duel.

Game One of their best of three championship series tips off tonight at 6 p.m. while Game Two will be on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Game Three (if necessary) will be on October 9 at 6 p.m.

On the other hand, PPR Shark Attack returns into the finals after disposing Neco, 83-82. Pesky play maker Dennis Castro showed the way for PPR Shark Attack with 34 points.

PPR Shark Attack will meet Galaxy Builders, which also won their semis match against Fish and Fins Hunters, 74-72, in their own best of three championship series for the Business Division.

Game One is set tonight at 7:30 p.m. Game Two is on Monday at 6 p.m. and Game Three (if necessary) will be on October 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Team representatives, coaches and managers are reminded that they will have a meeting on October 9 at 11:30 a.m. at the Palau National gym to discuss the schedule for the Season finals. Attendance is a must.
