PHS Tarantula, EHS B battle for finals in ISL Boys Jr. varsity hoopfest
Teams from Palau High School Tarantula and Emmaus High School team B are set to collide for the championship title after besting respective rivals, Monday in the 2012 Inter-School League (ISL) Junior boys’ basketball league.
PHS Tarantula barged in to the championship after beating Palau Mission Academy Team A, 52-47 while EHS B made it to the championship with their 64-29 win over PHS Spiders.
PHS Tarantula will meet EHS B today at 4 p.m. for the championship game at the Palau National gym while PMA A will face PHS Spiders for the consolation match.
Awarding will follow after the championship game and organizers remind all teams that fighting will cause expulsion from the tournament, which is supervised by the Palau Basketball Federation (PBF). By Peter Erick L. Magbanua (Island Times News)
