Mesang Red Storm, Rivals route opponents in IP&E ABL

Teams Mesang Red Storm and Rivals continue their winning runs as they went on to beat their respective opponents on the ongoing elimination round of the IP&E Amateur Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

The dynamic duo of Franky Kuchad and Tats finished with identical 20 points, respectively as they led Mesang Red Storm past team Peches, 83-58. Mesang Red Storm went off at high tone closing the first half with a 36-28 advantage.

With their fierce defense, Mesang Red Storm rallied all the way to win the game as Poland Renguul topscored for Peches with 14 while his teammates Airwolf Filibert and Morris Wakakoro added 12 markers, in that order.

On the other hand, King Ngiraboi tallied 21 baskets to lead team Rivals against the Ranchers, 76-58. Ferris Baulechong finished with 15 for the Ranchers on a losing cause.

Games resume tonight with Ididers versus Aimeliik Raniers at 6 p.m. while Blue Sharks will face Melkeok Salty Boys at 7:30 p.m.

No games will be played on December 31 and January 1 in celebration of the New Year. Games will then resume on January 2.
