GBH team A, KES score opening win in EASC Central Elem School hoopfest
Teams George B. Harris Elementary School team A and Koror Elementary School started their campaign on a high note as they defeated respective rivals at the opening of the 2013 EASC Central Elementary School basketball league.
GBH team A showed might as they went on to beat Meyuns Elementary School Lady Dolphins, 36-25. After taking an 8-6 lead, GBH team A outscored MES Lady Dolphins with an 11-2 run to close the half with a 19-8 advantage.
From there, GBH team A went all the way to score the win with Greta, Dil-Eluut and Zeldalyn leading the scoring chores all finishing with identical six points each, respectively while Sarabeth topscored for the Lady Dolphins with 15 markers.
On the other hand, KES Lady Stars dominated their match as they drubbed GBH team B, 55-9 to also nail their first win in the tournament.
Games will resume today with KES Lady Stars versus GBH team A at the Palau National gym while MES Lady Dolphins will face GBH team B at the GB Harris gym. Games tomorrow will have GBH team B versus KES at the GB Harris gym while MES will meet GBH team A at the Palau National gym.
Thursday matches will have KES against MES at the Palau National gym while GBH team A will face GBH team B at the GB Harris gym.
