Kryptonite nails 2nd win in WNBL

Team Kryptonite nailed its second win after beating Odesangel Islanders, 57-30 Friday night in the ongoing 2013 Surangel and Sons Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) at the Palau National gym.

Team Kryptonite meant business as they took a 14-6 lead in the opening quarter and tallied a 23-8 run to close the first half with a 37-14 lead. From there, Kryptonite went all the way to nail their second win and sport a 2-0 win-loss record in the team standings.

Tint carried the load for Kryptonite with 18 as Ayla and Sarabeth chipped in identical 12 makers while Ipolani topscored fro the Islanders with 12 on the losing end as they now are 1-1.

In other games, Peched won over Smooth Riders, 20-0.

Games will resume tonight with Money versus Peched at 6 p.m. while Kryptonite will meet Smooth Riders tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. as the Islanders will face Peched on Thursday at 6 p.m.

A total of six teams are seeing action in the tournament namely Odasangel Islanders, Kryptonite, Peched, Money, Nationals and Smooth Riders.
