Kryptonite downs Peched in WNBL

Team Sam’s Kryptonite continues its winning ways this time besting team Peched, 49-36 Tuesday night in the ongoing 2013 Surangel and Sons Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) at the Palau National gym.

Team Kryptonite meant business as they took a 14-5 lead in the opening quarter. They managed to logged behind in the second as Peched caught fire but still took a 27-21 advantage.

From there, it was all Sam’s Kryptonite all the way as they sailed with the win as Mahelani Adelbai leading the scoring chores with 16 as Sarabeth Ksano chipped in 11. On the other hand, Belbult tallied 13 markers for Peched on the losing end.

In other games, Money won over Smooth Riders, 20-0; and Money beat 19 Under team Palau, 65-63.

Games will resume tonight with 19 Under team Palau versus Odeangel Islanders at 7:30 p.m. as team Money will take on Sam’s Kryptonite on Monday at 6 p.m.

A total of six teams are seeing action in the tournament namely Odasangel Islanders, Kryptonite, Peched, Money, Nationals and Smooth Riders.
