Sam’s Kryptonite takes last seat in WNBL finals

Team Sam’s Kryptonite took the last seat in the finals after beating Team Palau 19 and Under, 71-31 Thursday night (June 6) of the 2013 Surangel and Sons Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) at the Palau National gym.

After taking a 19-6 lead, Sam’s Kryptonite ignited a 19-11 run in the second to take a 38-17 advantage. From there, Sam’s Kryptonite never looked back as they sailed for the win and arrange a best of three finals series with team Money.

Mahelani Adelbai led the scoring chores for Kyrptonite with 18 as Dilliaur Kumaichi had 10 for team Palau, which will face Peched for the consolation game.

Game One of the finals is still playing as of this writing while the consolation game will be played tonight at 7:30 p.m. Game Two of the Money-Sam’s Kryptonite series will be played Wednesday night at 6 p.m.

A total of six teams are seeing action in the tournament namely Odasangel Islanders, Kryptonite, Peched, Money, Nationals and Smooth Riders.
