MOF nails 2nd win in Rudimch GBL

Government Division reigning champions Ministry of Finance (MOF) Omsangel scored its second win at the expense of Hanpa Cardinals, 76-65 Friday night in the ongoing 2013 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

Hanging by a thread at 28-27 at the close of the first half, MOF Omsangel continued the assault in the third canto as they gained the upper hand, 50-48. From there, MOF Omsangel hanged on as they went all the way for the win.

Sunshine Soalablai topscored for MOF Omsangel with 28 as they now take a 2-0 win-loss card in the Government division while Hanpa Cardinals suffered their first lost for a 0-1 tally.

In the other game, RTRMI Crushers escaped with a 95-80 win over the Palau Pacific Resort (PPR) Shark Attack. Anthony Ngirkelau drilled 29 points as Chris Kitalong added 20 to make an impressive debut.

Other games saw Island Rhythm beat PPUC Electric Eel, 64-57; and President’s X-Men won over MOH BandAid, 96-74.

Games will resume tonight with Team ABC versus PPUC Electric Eel at 7:30 p.m. while WCTC will face Surangel Kings at 9 p.m. Wednesday night matches will have PNCC Molekoi against President’s X-Men at 7:30 p.m. as Fish N’ Fins will meet Mason’s Hardware in the night cap at 9 p.m.

Thursday night games will feature MOJ Lawmen taking on KSG Royals at 7:30 p.m. while Galaxy Builders will face PRR Dragons in the main game at 9 p.m.
