Crushers, Cardinals nail win in Rudimch GBL

Teams RTRMI Crushers and Hanpa Cardinals scored separate victories after beating foes, Friday night in the ongoing 2013 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

Team RTRMI Crushers improve their standing as they went on to beat Fish N’ Fins, 92-87 via come from behind. After being down 12-18 in the opening tip off, the Crushers went on a 24-18 run in the second as they tied the game at 36-all at the close of the first half.

Then the Crushers saw themselves back in the drawing boards as they trailed again in the third canto via 59-66. They made their last stand in the final quarter as they unleashed a 33-21 assault to close down the game and score the win.

Anthony Ngiraikelau led the charge for the Crushers with 27 points as Jimmer Garde and Dovey de Jesus chipped in 21 and 18 markers, respectively while Jun Bautista topscored for Fish N’ Fins with 33 on the losing end.

On the other hand, Hanpa Cardinals managed to escape a 91-89 victory over PNCC Molekoi. The Cardinals were upfront in the first with a 30-12 advantage but saw their lead melt in the second as PNCC made their run via 30-16 to close the gap at 46-42.

Then the Cardinals stood their ground in the second half of play as they went all the way to score the win as Raymund Tan finished the game with 27 as Dudley Ililau led PNCC with 24 on the losing end.

In other games, Sam’s Sharks won over PPR Stingrays, 93-66; PPR Shark Attack defeated PRR Dragons, 113-105; KSG Royals outscored MOF Omsangel, 79-70; and President’s X-Men won over MOE Spiders, 20-0.

Games resume tonight with PNCC Molekoi versus KSG Royals at 6 p.m. followed by the PPR Stingrays-RTRMI Crushers tussle at 7:30 p.m. while Fish N’ Fins will meet PRR Dragons at 9 p.m. Wednesday night games will feature MOJ Lawmen against MOE Spiders at 6 p.m. as MOH Band Aid will test PPUC Electric Eel at 7:30 p.m. while Hanpa Cardinals will face Island Rhythm in the main game at 9 p.m.

Thursday night games will have Galaxy Builders taking on Neco at 6 p.m. as Sam’s Sharks will meet Surangel Kings at 7:30 p.m. while PPR Shark Attack will take on sister team PPR Stingrays in the night cap at 9 p.m.
