MOH, President’s X-men win in Rudimch GBL

Teams Ministry of Health (MOH) Band Aid and President’s X-Men nail separate victories at the expense of their respective rivals, Monday night in the ongoing 2013 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

MOH Band Aid went on a rampage in the fourth quarter as they managed to beat Island Rhythm, 70-61. Down 13-15 in the opening quarter, MOH then showed their defense as they spurted a 21-8 run to close the first half with a 34-23 lead.

Then MOH went offline in the third as they struggled to get their shots going as the game went on a deadlock at 47-all. Then, MOH sparked a 23-14 run in the final canto as they went all the way for the win.

Ryoma and Dean led the way for MOH with identical 19 points, respectively while Romel and Budz Pabro topscored for Island Rhythm with 19 and 14 markers on the losing end.

On the other hand, Douglas Schmidt showed his scoring prowess as he finished with 28 baskets to lead the President’s X-Men against team ABC, 84-82.

In other games, WCTC won over Mason’s Hardware, 20-0.

Games resume tonight with MOF Omsangel versus Island Rhythm at 6 p.m. followed by the team ABC-Hanpa Cardinals tussle at 7:30 p.m. while RTRMI Crushers will face WCTC at 9 p.m.

Monday night games will have PNCC Molekoi against PPUC Electric Eel at 6 p.m. as MOJ Lawmen will meet the President’s X-Men at 7:30 p.m. while Neco will face PRR Dragons in the night cap at 9 p.m.
