Meda Boyz score 4th win in IP&E ABL

Medalaii Meda Boyz are leading Pool B as they scored their fourth straight win this time beating the Ngiwal 79ers, 75-60, Friday night on the ongoing IP&E Amateur Basketball League (ABL) at the Palau National gym.

Meda Boyz were off to a hot start as they dictated the tempo of the game leading 20-9 in the first quarter. Despite being outrun by the 79ers in the second with a 15-14 out put, they still maintained their lead at the first half with a 34-24 advantage.

From there, Meda Boyz went on full assault as they nailed the win with Joshua Kloulubak leading the way with 15 while teammates Oscar Page and Sione Isechal chipped in 12 and 11 markers.

On the other hand, Ngiwal 79ers suffered their fourth straight loss as they still in the cellar with a 0-4 card despite the 17 point performance of Carson while Man Tulmau added 10 on the losing end.

In other games, Hanpa won over Ngerchemai Ranchers, 20-0; PCC Mesekiu drubbed Idid 4x4 Wheelers, 114-84; Blue Shark downs Melngoes, 77-68; Matakui downed the Breakers, 95-63; Surangel Kings bested Ididers, 95-78; Stingers defeated Ngiwal 79ers, 76-70; Meda Boys outscored Raw Surf 73-43; PCC Mesekiu won over Ikelauans, 81-75; and Papago Smooth outclassed Meyuns Red Storm, 66-56.

Games resume tonight with Ngermid Rivals versus Meyuns Red Storm at 6 p.m. followed by the Breakers-Stingers tussle at 7:30 p.m. as Ngerkesoal Styx will face Surangel Kings at 9 p.m.

Wednesday night matches will have Lawmen PEAC against Idid 4x4 Wheelers at 6 p.m. as Ranchers will meet Ngaraard Red Torch at 7:30 p.m. while Ikelauans will face Matakui at 9 p.m.

Thursday night games will feature Hanpa Cardinals taking on Blue Sharks at 6 p.m. as Papag Smooth will meet the Rivals at 7:30 p.m. while Meda Boyz will test PCC Mesekiu in the night cap at 9 p.m.

Teams this season, teams are divided into two pools. Pool A will have Papago Smooth, Ngarchelong Blue Shark, Ngaraard Red Torch, Hanpa Cardinals, Surangel Kings, Meyuns Red Storm, Melngoes, Ranchers, Ididers and Ngermid Rivals. Pool B will be composed of MEDA Boys, Matakui, Idid 4x4 Wheelers, Ikelauans, Stingers, Lawmen PEAC, Raw Surf, Breakers, Airwaves and PCC Mesekiu.
