PMA secure finals seat in ISL Senior Varsity bball

Contender Palau Mission Academy (PMA) Warriors claimed the first finals seat after beating Palau High School (PHS) team B Gray, 90-39 Wednesday in the play off round of the 2014 Inter-School League (ISL) Senior Varsity basketball league.

The Warriors showed dominance as they started the game with a 24-6 lead in the first quarter and then continued their run as they closed the first half with a 47-16 advantage.

The Warriors would continue their rampage in the second half as they met little resistance from PHS team B Gray, securing them the win and a seat in the championship game which is set on February 3 at the Palau National gym.

RB Dorado led the scoring clutches for the Warriors with 30 points as Hayden Mluut topscored for PHS team B with 11 on the losing side.

In other games, EHS Knights won over PMA Warriors, 65-46; and EHS defeated BMS, 67-29.

With the Warriors already in the finals, they will wait for the winner of the PHS team A Spiders-EHS Knights game which is still playing as of presstime.

The losers will play for the consolation game today at 4 p.m. while the winner advances to the finals and face the Warriors.

A total of five teams are seeing action in the tournament namely Palau High School teams A and B, Emmaus High School and Palau Mission Academy.
