WU test Choppers in FBL Sunday

After successfully retaining a clean slate, league leader Western Union aims to continue their winning ways as they test the Aloha Maid Choppers, Sunday in the resumption of the Filipino Basketball League (FBL) at the Palau National gym.

Riding a 7-0 win-loss record and after beating defending champion FR Spoilers last weekend, Western Union is on a rampage as they will look for another win in their 11 a.m. assignment.

They will again rely on the performances of Bong Alambra, Dennis Castro, Erwin Senadre, Anon Cajegas, Michael Garcia, Al Obrero, Medel Cuyugan, Darwin Fuentebella and Jojo Ulap.

On the other hand, the Choppers, sponsored by Shimbros International, seek to improve their standing which currently stands at 6-1 in the team standings. This game will gauge if they are ready to face off with the toughest teams in the league as they will bank on the services of Arvin Pramo, Mark Louie Lofranco, Nelson Dupalco, JR Gonzales, JR Grapa, Arvin Tacder, Jelson Talavera, Jojo Servantes, Rey Potot, Janine Carandang and Lito Cruzat.

In other games, PECI Spartans will take on FR Spoilers tussle at 12:30 p.m. as Royal Cargo Rangers will test Hanpa Cardinals at 2 p.m. while Rams will meet the Jaguars in the main game at 3:30 p.m.
