Ngaraard Red Torch wins 3rd place in IP&E ABL

Team Ngaraard Red Torch secured a pole position as they beat a hard fighting Medalaii Meda Boyz, 88-67 to clinch third place honors, Wednesday night in the IP&E Amateur Basketball League (ABL) at the Palau National gym.

After securing a 36-34 lead at the end of the first half, the Red Torch outclassed the younger Meda Boyz with a 22-17 run in the third to take a 58-51 advantage. The Red Torch then further widen the gap as they outran Meda Boyz with a 28-16 run in the final canto to take the win.

Anthony Rudimch led the scoring chores for the Red Torch with 26 baskets while teammates Traxx Mark Remeliik and Liff Eberdong clipped 18 and 14, respectively.

On the other hand, RB Dorado topscored for the Meda Boyz also with 26 but was not enough to fuel a comeback as they lost the game. Teammate Spyce Koshiba backed his performance by finishing the game with 14.

The Red Torch received their trophy immediately after the game.
