Team Surangel Kings showed their supremacy and height advantage as they went on to beat a hard fighting Ngermid Rivals, 104-98 in Game Two played Thursday night to take the championship title in the IP&E Amateur Basketball League (ABL) at the Palau National gym.

With the win, the Kings closed the series with a 2-0 count. The Kings meant business as they established a 30-16 lead in the opening salvo and then continued their run in the second as they outscored the Rivals with a 31-26 output to close the first half of play with a 61-42 advantage.

The Kings would continue to pour in points in the second half of play as Reid Una Rikrik and Joseph Osorio found their shooting range while Adam McQuistan dominated inside the paint.

With their performance it was then an easy win for the Kings with former Senator Surangel Whipps Sr. calling the shots from the bench. McQuistan, who was named as the Rookie of the Year, normed 26 points for the Kings while teammates Rikrik and Osorio chipped in 24 and 21 markers, respectively.

On the other hand, King Ngiraboi, who was named as the Finals MVP (with an average of 28 points per game), and Ray Rumong topscored for the Rivals with identical 25 baskets while Marvic Ngchar added 18 as they settled for second place honors.

Other awardees were Mike Williams (Season MVP) and Alson Shiro (Coach of the Year).

Specially crafted trophies were given to the winners immediately after the game.
