Spoilers back out of FBL league
A new twist surrounds the Filipino Basketball League (FBL) as the defending champions FR Spoilers have formally backed out of the league.
FBL Chairman Manny Kimpo told Island Times that the Spoilers team has sent their formal letter of withdrawal last March 29. Kimpo said that the reason for the Spoilers withdrawal is that three of their players namely Michael Bombita, Coco Gonzales and Mark Pagayanan are leaving for good.
“Aside from that other players of the FR Spoilers team have also went back to the Philippines either for vacation or for good, leaving the team with only three players. That is why they have decided to formally withdrew from the league,” Kimpo stated.
With the event, Kimpo is calling on all team managers, coaches and representatives for an emergency meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be at the TFCP office located across Yuhi Motel.
