Four games usher FBL Season Finals

Four games will be featured on Sunday as the quarterfinals of the Filipino Basketball League (FBL) tips off at the Palau National gym.

Fresh from winning the championship crown in Division A, the Ilocandia Bulls are back on business as they play the Hanpa Cardinals in the opening curtain at 11 a.m.

The Bulls will again rely on their youthful line up led by their “Big Three” composed of Marvic Ngchar, Edward Baysa and RB Dorado.They will be backed up by veterans Raul Osias, Joeger Supnet, Ryan Cacho and Dondon Cabasal.

On the other hand, the Cardinals will have Dennis Gonzales, Mhomar Sismaet, Johnson Sicat, Mac Naguit, Raymund Tan, Richard Lanuza, Philip Maniago, Ben Orbasayan, Rustom Cabuso and Ramar Malinao.

Meanwhile, Division A runner up Surangel Stars will have their hands full as they collide with Division B runner up Rams in the second game at 12:30 p.m. The Stars will have their tall line up composed of brothers Leo and Ronald Magcalas, Rex de Asis, ZJ Asido, Arnold Undecimo, Ador “The Scavenger” Hilvano, Bong Gayongorza, Ernie “The Tank” Bautista, Anthony Bruzula and Rodel “Think Tank” Flores.

The Rams will be led by brothers Alvin and Jun Magcalas, Jake Mahor, Ronald Reyes, Jhune Villena, John Espiritu and Marty Lumigis.

In other games, Western Union will meet Division B champion Liquid Skyy Dragons at 2 p.m. while the Aloha Maid Choppers will battle the Royal Cargo Rangers in the main game at 3:30 p.m.

The winners of the Magic 8 quarterfinals will move on to the Final Four with a chance to earn a slot to the Season Finals.
