The Melekeok and Sonsorol game was a thriller.  While everyone thought it would be fairly easy for Melekeok, the Sonsorol boys thought otherwise.  Melekeok had a handy lead at the end of the 1st quarter but then Sonsorol made a great game of it, winning the next 2 quarters.  The final quarter was a real battle as first one team had a lead and then the other.  There is no doubt that Sonsorol have improved dramatically through this tournament and play well above their height.   If there was a medal for the best triers, it would go to the men’s and women’s teams from Sonsorol.

In today’s Women’s semi-finals Peleliu play Ngchesar at 1.00pm and Koror play Ngaremlengui at 5.00pm.

In the men’s semi-finals Peleliu play Ngchesar at 3.00pm and Koror play Melekeok at 7.00pm.

The games are expected to attract a huge crowd and past rivalries will be continued down to the final buzzer.

BRING IT ON!
