Rudimch Government/Business League: Shark Attack, Cops score wins

Defending champion Palau Pacific Resort (PPR) Shark Attack and team MOJ Cops scored separate victories against foes in the ongoing elimination rounds of the 2009 Rudimch Government/Business basketball league at the Palau National gym.

PPR Shark Attack notched its third straight victory at the expense of Island Rhythm, 84-66 wit last season’s MVP Javis de Pedro leading the scoring clutches with 24 points as they now sport a 3-0 win-loss record in the team standings while Blau’s 28 point performance was not enough as Island Rhythm suffered its third setback for a 1-3 count.

On the other hand, team Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Cops climbed on top of the team standings in the Government division as they tallied their third win after beating PNOC Mercury 300, 90-81.

Earlee D. had 18 points to lead all scorers while Wallace and Siske had 17 markers each for PNOC Mercury 300 on a losing cause. With the win MOJ Cops now post a 3-0 tally while PNOC Mercury 300 is still at the cellar with a 0-3 card.

In other games, PRR Royals defeated Fish N’ Fins, 76-58; Galaxy Builders pound WCT/Fuji, 99-83; Palasia Hotel bested Sam’s Sharks, 83-75; MPIIC downed MOH, 73-59.

The league, which is sponsored by Rudimch Enterprises, is a tobacco, alcohol and drug free program and all violators will be banned from participating.
