Eddie Calic is currently in the country to assist

FIBA Oceania had allocated two trips for its Zone development officers to visit and assist Solomon Island Basketball Development program. Jon Hoyle was here in early April thru the 2007 Solidarity program, and currently Eddie  is in the country thru the FIBA Oceania funded program. While in the Solomon`s he will be assisting our Men`s and Women`s national team final preparation to the 13th Pacific Games in Samoa 2007, review the SIBF constitution, conducting of Cyber sports and FIBA Organiser, conducting of school camp, inventory the outdoor basketball courts in and around Honiara, meet with the Australian High Commisioner for the logistics strategic plans of the approved women basketball project and also assisting our 3 senior referees to the 13th Pacific Games on the three person officiating concept, assesment and instruction.

The Solomon Island Basketball Federation would like to sincerely thanks Eddie for his time and also for assisting the development of basketball in our country and also to FIBA Oceania for its ongoing assistance towards the development of basketball not only in the Solomons but also in the region
