As closing date draws around the corner, organizers for the 2016 3x3 Basketball Series sends out a stern advice for teams to ensure they meet the registration deadline. The deadline for registration is 2^nd of May 2016 at 4:00pm. Anything after that will not be considered, however this will be an opportunity for teams wanting to enter this competition to register their teams.

New teams wanting to enter this series through the 2^nd game will only have 2 days to submit their registration forms with fees. After 4^th of May 2016 no registrations will be accepted. Why there is a deadline imposed is, preparation for the tournament is not an easy task. All the registration information will have to be entered online to www.3x3planet.com where all the teams and players will be put to a ranking system against other 3x3 players on the globe. This tournament has been validated through the 3x3 system from series 1 and is now recognized by FIBA.

The organizers Big E Entertainment alongside Flipnoise would like to thank the working committee for a great job in series 1 and looking forward to successful event in this series 2.

“We understand that more teams are wanting to enter into this 3x3 tournament but unfortunately we have only 12 places available and these spots have been filled only awaiting confirmation for game 2 through their registrations. But if anyone is late, then space opens up for any other team to enter.” The organizers representative further stresses, “we will not be reserving spaces. It is on a first come first serve basis, so if you miss out then you will have to wait for the 3^rd and final leg of this series.”

“During the initial stage of this tournament we found it very difficult to get teams to register. Our target was 16 teams, but we only manage 12 teams to start with. It was difficult, however we were determined to get this tournament off the ground” said one organizer. He went on to say “So we will be working with these 12 Teams till the end of this 3 game series, to not confuse the online system and so that accurate ratings on players is consistent.”

Marist A, the current champions. Who is game enough to drop them from the top? Will they stop the perimeter sharp shooter Waige Turueke? Rumors has it that Waige Turueke is out of action for sometime, this maybe an opportunity to conquer Marist and take the crown with Waige out of the picture. Prospecting teams from game 1 are; Timmy Magi led Crusaders, Eric with the Pinoy Slashers or will it be Augustine’s Gunnerz. 3x3 is a fast pace game and anyone can be a champion at anytime. Every team is vulnerable. It all boils down to Determination and Stamina. Come on down to support your team on the day.

The Organizers also thank those teams that responded to their call for registration for this series.
