National Coach in FSM
Solomon Islands Mens National Basketball Coach Ryan Burns is currently in the Federated States of Micronesia on a 5 month visit to the country. He is their helping the states of Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk and Yap further develop their basketball coaches, players, referees and administrators.
6 weeks into the project Ryan has been very happy with the progress. "Everyone is very friendly, and basketball is very popular here with most community courts full of basketball players every evening. So I have been enjoying it so far, but I do miss a lot of the good people in Solomon Islands and I will be coming back soon" said Ryan.
Ryan is looking forward to returning to Solomon Islands in August 2008 to see his friends and assist all members of the basketball community.
