On Saturday 7 2011 many important games took place between teams for positions and ranking. Many people witnessed many young talented and skilfull players last Saturday. Men’s division came to the end of their last round and now are preparing themselves for the second round commencing this coming Saturday 14th may. In the first round of matches Sia raga 1 men’s leadig the table with 16 points followed by Tupuji with 15points, in women’s division, Tagavanua and Sia raga 1 are on the top table with 15 points each. More from the games last Saturday, First match in men’s division was between Tupuji and Rhymestorm. Imere boys still still proved themselves to be strong and won the game with a score of 36 to 34. No matter Rhymestorm lead the first quarter with 10 points, Imere boys came up very easily on second, third and last quarters of the match. 2:15pm game Sia 1 women vs Sia All stars, yet Sia 1 won the game with a heavy score of 45 to 18. Peter Izono, sia 1 coach gave his best shot with the players to develop and pushed them to more better skills in basketball. 3:15pm, Stade united women’s really gave their best in this game and beat Cannons by 38 to 24 full times. Both teams showed that they have developed more knowledge and skills in Basketball. 4:15pm games ABM Men’s really had a rough time to handle LDS team with young and fast players. ABM has a lot of experienced players and thus managed to dominate the game by 35 and LDS 25. 5:15pm, Tagavanua verses Tupuji women’s division. Tagavanua dominated the game with a final score of 62 to 38 points. Majority of them are in Pre squad selection for SPG. They’ve put on a great performance during this game. 6:15pm, men’s division, Stade united verses Roots. It was an interesting game, especially Root’s players who played well compared to most of their past games. Root’s won the game with a close score of 29 to 27 points Sia raga 2 girls played that Saturday morning with AS6eme team form Noumea and beat AS6eme.again in the afternoon they really made a good performance and beat Sanma by 37-24points. 8:15pm was the last match between Sia raga 1 and Sia raga 2 men’s, many people were there to witness the undefeated Sia Raga 1 who won this match and are now on the top table of Round 1 of ECL tournament.
