Annie La Fleur Visit:
All basketball fans in Port Vila are invited to attend the clinics and workshops being presented by Annie. Annie is a former Australian National player, winning silver for Australia at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
REFEREE CLINICS
The Vanuatu Basketball Federation organize a second referee clinic on the 22nd of October 2011 at stade courts. Hi was conducted by Mr. Junior Mahit with a help of Niel Vira and myself (NBDO). It is a three hours session in which updated new rules and 3 man referee rules are being taught to the participants. There are about 14 participants from 6 different basketball clubs within Port Vila.
These new rules and 3 man referees are affective from this date onwards. Out from this clinic the participants feedback show that they interested in this session and are looking forward in applying it during this closing tournament and onwards.
On behalf of Vanuatu Basketball Federation I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Mahit and Mr. Vira for giving up their time conducting this clinic and also help in improving a level of referring in Vanuatu.
