All basketball fans in Port Vila are invited to attend the clinics and workshops being presented by Annie. Annie is a former Australian National player, winning silver for Australia at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
SHEFA Basketball League Opening Tournament 2008
SHEFA Basketball League commenced its Opening Tournament program on Monday 9th of Jun with 24 teams in the draw.
SHEFA Basketball League was reactivated following a decision from FIBA Oceania Secretary General Steve Smith on his latest visit in
Four major clubs have left the Port Vila Basketball Association and have registered a total of twelve teams with the SBL.
SBL now operates four divisions and has its games played every day of the week except Sundays. Finals of the tournament will be played from 24th of Jun to the 1st of July 2008 at the Ex-FOL indoor gym.
Vanuatu Basketball Federation welcomes the proposal from FIBA Oceania as it will stimulate the challenge between Port Vila and SHEFA Basketball Leagues and therefore bring Basketball competition level to new heights.
