RMI's Kyle Paul wins MVP award in Pohnpei
Three Marshall Islands 15-and-under players were recognized for their high-level play at the first 15-and-Under Micronesia Basketball Tournament East Division in Pohnpei from July 8-14, 2011.
Center Kyle ‘Bollet’ Paul was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. He dominated inside, scoring in double figures in most of the six games that the RMI team played.
Two other players were named to the five-man all-star team for the tournament. They are point guard Emilyo ‘Tam-Tam’ Maddison and June ‘Tokki’ Matayoshi.
All three were awarded trophies by the Pohnpei organizing committee at the closing ceremony of the tournament on July 14 at the College of Micronesia gymnasium in Palikir, Pohnpei.
