Sports Organisations collaborate to help basketbal
The consignment is a positive demonstration by the new Boad of Marshall Islands Basketball Federation to the players of RMI, that they are determined to help raise the level of basketball in the country.
The newly established Marshall Islands National Olympic Committee, recognising that basketball is the major sport in the country are also keen to show the people of the RMI that membership of the International Olympic Committee can bring very real benefits to all the people of the Marshall Islands, not just those who are fortunate enough to go to an Olympic Games.
Marshall Islands Basketball Federation have set themselves a task of preparing a roadmap for the future growth of the sport in the country and the acquisition of more that $3,000 USD worth of equipment is just a first and small step along an exciting path to the future.
Our photo shows just a small sample of the equipment now heading towards Majuro to help improve the way our sport is seen.
