PNG Touch Not Standing Still!

FIT News Update Page

The Federation of International Touch (FIT) recognises the overhaul of Touch Football Papua New Guinea (TFPNG) management and change of its identities as posted on FIT website this week as its latest news update.

TFPNG is an affiliated member of FIT and has been since inception of FIT.

It is a good news for the newly elected executive of TFPNG led by pioneer touch player and veteran administrator Joe Yore as 2008 president. Mr. Yore visualizes a new ray of hope for developing and promoting Touch Football code in Papua New Guinea. It is this view which saw it fitting to change the name from PNG Touch Federation to Touch Football Papua New Guinea with a new logo and a website with its own domain name (www.touchfootballpng.org.pg)

TFPNG aims to link and relate neighboring Pacific Island countries, New Zealand, Australian, Asian, African, European and the far Canadian and American touch footballers' fraternities in developing, promoting and participating in the spread of the code in the global village bringing the intensity of touch football to another level.

Mr Jore said, hopefully with our web links with other touch football playing countries, other nations would be convinced to visit PNG and enjoy our hospitality while promoting touch as an international sport.
