The National Futsal squad looks to be on track with their preparation for the 2010 Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Futsal Championship.
This comes after the National squad picked up a 13-9 victory over the Navua selection side at the Tattersalls Leisure Center in Suva earlier this afternoon.
The Navua selection side was coached by Gurjit Singh and had the likes of Lorima Dau, Jesoni Takala, Benaminio Mateinaqara, Usaia Tadu, Dinesh Mudaliar, Joseph Mishra, Maciu Dunadamu and Seveci Rokotakala.
The match was played in four quarters of a 25 minutes spell each.
Fiji Football Association Futsal Commission secretary Jainendra Sukhu says the friendly match was of a good build up for the National squad.
“The Navua side provided a good build up for the boys. The National squad has been training for a while and it was good to see them put their knowledge to the test,” Sukhu said.
The OFC futsal Championship will be held from 8-14 August at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
