Day 8 - Semi Finals
On Day 7, the second game of second place New Caledonia with third place American Samoa began with the latter scoring a run in the first inning. In the second inning, rains caused cancellation of the game.
The two teams were scheduled to play again in the semi-finals on day 8. However, due to heavy morning rains the first game of first place Palau with fourth place Fiji was postponed. A meeting of team managers took place at 1pm to decide on the semi-finals and finals fixture.
It was decided by the Technical Committe to schedule four games for Wednesday with the 1-4 semi final at 8AM and the 2-3 semi final at 10:30 AM. The Bronze Medal game will be played at 1 PM and the Gold Medal game at 3:30. Not being able to play any of these games will result in a wash for the competition and medals beign awarded based on round robin standings.
