Men's Semi Finals
New Caledonians Robert Stirrup and Laurent Guepy squared off in the first semi final while fellow New Caledonian Gael Gosse took on the men's top seed Warren Yee of Fiji. Robert and Laurent had a close match finishing in 5 games with second seed Laurent coming out on top. In the other semi-final the more experienced Warren defeated the up and coming Gael 3-0 to progress to the final against Laurent.
Women's Semi Finals
PNG's top two players Naluge Guy and Eli Webb squared off in the semi finals for the individual competition. Naluge, the top ranked player in the women's competition won her match comfortably defeating her compatriot 3-0. In the other semi final Cook Islands top seed Tepua Russell went up against Fiji's top seed Rita Takiveikata. Tepua seeded second proved too strong for Rita winning the match 3-0 bringing her through to the final for the gold medal with Naluge. Rita and Eli will play off for the bronze medal.
