International Cup teams paraded at Telstra Dome

All 16 International Cup teams, including Team Asia, Team Africa and Tonga who are competing in the Multicultural Challenge matches attended the Telstra Dome last night to parade at half time in front of over 49,000 spectators.

They were treated to a great spectacle with Lance "Buddy" Franklin scoring his 100th goal in the first term and then thousands of adoring fans rushing onto the ground to share in the experience.

At half time the teams were introduced to the crowd and received a very warm welcome before assembling in the centre of the ground, providing a spectacle of their own in a sea of colours representing their countries.

As they walked off the ground the crowd were treated to an impromptu song and dance from the Tongans, which was another of the many highlights of the night.

Brendan Fevola provided the final highlight of the night kicking 7 goals in the second half and falling only one goal short of the magical ton, giving all visiting nations many great memories to take home.

All teams travel to Warrnambool to play in the third round of matches beginning on Monday at 11:00am.
