Fiji wins the Pacific Mini Games!

The 8th Pacific Mini Games in Rarotonga Cook Islands were completed on Saturday (Fiji time), with Fiji finishing well on top of the medal tally. The 32 Gold Medals, 25 Silver medals and 24 Bronze medals combined to put Fiji 12 medals ahead of second place New Caledonia, who amassed 23 Gold.


The Games were held from September 21 - October 2 and as expected, Fiji won the most medals in the Athletics (including 17 Gold), followed by Weightlifting (8 Gold). We also won medals in Boxing, Men's Golf, Lawn Bowls (3 Gold), Netball (Gold), Rugby 7s, Rugby League Sevens (Gold), Sailing, Table Tennis (1 Gold), Touch Rugby and Va'a - 12 of the 15 sports.
