Minikin to present in Lausanne

ONOC Sports Development Manager, Brian Minikin will leave for Lausanne next week to deliver a final paper to the MEMOS Community based on the work he conducted at the 2009 AGM in Queenstown.

The paper proposes the idea that sports organisations need to attain a reasonable degree of development before they are able to benefit from the provision of funding programs of sport development. It further proposes that such development needs to occur accross the full spectrum of the sports organisation's development.

The main outcomes from this research were the modification of the NF Assessment Tool as developed by Auvita Rapilla for here MEMOS XI Project and also the Development of a Readiness Assessment Tool (RAT) that specifically analyses the current development situation of a sports organisation across each of eight Pillars or Key Result Area, against what is required to be in place in order for a program or activity to be implemented effectively and with sustainability.

The main paper can be downloaded from the ONOC Development Website.

Best of Luck Brian....
