Samoa to get Oceania Olympic Judo Training Centre
This latest news was announced by the International Judo Federation Executive Committee in the Netherlands at the end of last month. Samoa Judo currently meets at the Apia Park Gym, but the location for the Judo Training centre is yet to be finalised. However, it is thought that the site for the Judo Training Centre may be within the confines of the Apia Park Stadium. While Apia Park is the temporary location for this project, the SSFA will assist Samoa Judo in its efforts to establish this ground breaking centre. Francois Martel of Judo Samoa made this announcement to SSFA staff last week and was very excited at the prospect of having this Oceania Training centre here in Samoa.
