Host country President and esteemed colleague, Vaeolenofoafia V. Tapasu Leung Wai was recognised for his dedication and commitment to promoting and developing the sport of  bodybuilding throughout  the South Pacific Region, most especially by way of Samoa and as host of numerous Championships.

SSFA's own Assistant Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Lufilufi Rasmussen was a competitor in the Samoa Novice Women's category after losing more than 20kg in 10 months after the birth of her second child in October 2007.

Samoa's Karl Adam took out the Mr. Samoa title, and Viola Etuata took the Ms. South Pacific title.

Samoa's own Tony Ligaliga www.gofigure.co.nz was the guest poser for the evening and awarded a Service to Sport medalion in recognition of his many years of involvement in Bodybuilding in the South Pacific.

Team Samoa was also awarded the team pose ahead of the Cook Islands and New Caledonia much to the delight of the crowd.
