Red Cross training for SAC staff

CPR demonstration

26th November 2008

From the 24th - 26th November, Samoa Aquatic Centre (SAC) staff, and SSFA supervisors underwent Emergency First Aid & CPR training with the Samoa Red Cross.

Management of SSFA recognises the importance of proper training in first aid for not only the Pool staff at the Aquatic Centre, but all for field staff in the case of an accident to employees or the public.

SSFA Pool Attendant, Misiluki Sapati said that out of the three days of training, that the first day was the best where they learnt about CPR which can save a person's life.

In March 2009, SSFA will be hosting a Lifeguarding Course in conjunction with the Royal Life Saving Society of New Zealand and hopes to release further details of this as soon as possible.

SSFA will be holding another course at the beginning of 2009 to train more of their staff in CPR & emergency first aid.
