Sagone Village's Special Cricket Day

The Prime Minister spoke of how popular English style Cricket is around the world, with many of the larger countries spending thousands of dollars funding this sport.  He also commented that this is a game that Samoa is already familiar with, and just another version of what we already know. The village of Sagone reciprocated by recognizing this wonderful gift in the usual cultural way.  The cricket equipment was donated  by the Australian Sports Outreach Program, funded by Ausaid and equipment for the younger age group was donated by the Honourable Faumuina Tiatia Luiga, Minister for Natural Resources & Environment, under which the SSFA is administered. The village of Sagone said they looked forward to playing English cricket on their new pitch.
