They are looking forward to being the  Custodians of this field, which enables them to practice as much as they want on a field where they have the pick of any date or time to practice.   They want to further develop their sport in Samoa, and nurture he younger upcoming players. There is currently a fund raising bid underway to help them on their way to NZ. The National  Hockey Team are currently deep in training three afternoons per week at Apia Park Stadium in readiness for the Oceania  Hockey  Cup, to be held in Invercargill, New Zealand in August of this year.  Apia Park is an ideal venue for their training as it allows them to not only fitness train around the circle, but to also test their playing strategies on the rugby field in the centre of the stadium.  Good training!  We wish the Hockey Association and the Samoa National team all the best for their coming competition in New Zealand, it is currently winter there and the city of Invercargill is still a very cold place at that time of the year, so wrap up nice and warm!  Good luck on the field!
