Kaitaia Donates Equipment and Uniforms
One thing can be said for the Kaitaia Basketball delegation that recently visited Rarotonga - "They came prepared"!!
They brought with them a highly motivated group of people ready to teach and share all their experience and knowledge.
They also brought with them equipment that was given away throughout their trip.
Some of the items included t-shirts, basketballs and coaching manuals given away to the various Secondary schools they visited.
Similar items along with Tall Blacks gear was also given away during half time entertainment at the 3 match series.
But the best surprise was left to the last night. CIBF along with the local players and coaches hosted the teams at a farewell Kaikai(dinner) and were presented with the playing uniforms the Kaitaia teams wore while they were here. They donated them to be used by the Cook Islands Basketball Federation.
CIBF would like to thank Owen Lewis and his fabulous team of players, coaches, referee and supporters for coming to the Cook Islands and sharing their knowledge, experience and talents to help further develop basketball in the Cook Islands.
