the Cibi vs the Siva Tau
The scorching midday sun was a perfect backdrop for a match between the friendly neighbours yet bitter rivals; the men of Fiji and Samoa.

With Fiji doing the Cibi and Samoa doing the Siva Tau, both teams were fired up, ready to play.
Both teams had a slow start but Fiji managed to get into the game as it progressed.
Fiji 7: Samoa 0
Hector Smith the Fijian coach had mixed feelings about the result. He was happy with the win but he was looking for a better goal average. He is adamant that they can do better than that.
In regards to their next game against Australia Country, Smith stressed the importance of that game, to make the playoff final. “I think right now they (Australia Country) have a better goal average. (Australia Country) is a really good team and I reckon is better than the one last year. We’ll have to play to our full potential.”
Goals: Fiji 7(Tevita King-7th; Terrence Corrie- 8th, 50th; Adrain Smith- 33rd, 45th, 50th; Denzel Mock- 48th) Samoa 0
