Hindmarsh shows that where you come from really Matta's!

On Tuesday the 19th of May, the CRL/ARL Development Teams put together the Hindmarsh/ Noble Gala
day.

The Hindmarsh Cup and Noble Challenge were held down in the southern highlands in Robertson.Robertson is not only famous for their meat pies, their canteen, which was mentioned by one of the
Australian Rugby League development officers as the best she had ever been to,

But also for a couple of their football stars in the Hindmarsh Brothers, Nathan and Ian.

The tournament was held for under 10 (Hindmarsh) and 12 years (Noble) participants from schools in the
Southern Highlands area and a lot of footballing talent was on show!

Many great team and individual tries were seen through the day along with some great defense and team
work! It was a long but great day had by all with the Hindmarsh winners being Mittagong Public School and the
Noble winners, Moss Vale Public School.

Mittagong P.S played against Colo Vale P.S in the Hindmarsh Cup final, both sides doing extremely well
to get through there pool games undefeated. Unfortunately for Colo Vale P.S they ran into a red hot
Mittagong P.S in the final, with Mittagong P.S getting the Cup with a 16-0 victory. In the Noble Challenge Moss Vale P.S proved to be to good, winning all of there pool games and defeating
Hill Top P.S 34-0 in the final with a dominating performance.

At the end of the day Nathan Hindmarsh of the Parramatta Eels presented the winners shields and medals,
had photos, signed autographs and mingled with kids and parents who were very appreciative of his visit.
One very lucky and deserving player from the Mittagong side was lucky and very deserving to be awarded
the player of the tournament and was presented with a signed Parramatta Eels Jersey!

A big thank you goes
out to all the volunteers at the Robertson Spuds Rugby League Club forc
ontributing to a more than
successful day!

In all it was a great day and great to some high quality football being played in our locals schools.
