Junior Bulls forward and Junior Shark Jamie Cairney after having a stellar representative season for South Coast Junior League has been selected as a member of the Country Rugby League 16’s team for 2009. He will be going into camp at Foster on July 7th and playing against a Queensland Maroon squad there on July 11th.
Jamie travelled to Wyong on the Central Coast this weekend to attend the CRL 16’s Possibles v Probables trials. The game went well for Jamie and his Southern selections side finishing with a strong performance to win the game.
South Coast Rugby League congratulates Jamie on his achievement and wishes him all the best against the Maroons.
Over the same weekend the CRL held the finals of the Junior Country Championships at Nelson Bay. Of six Final matches played five were to be won by the winners of the Southern Carnival at Cootamundra.
